The program offers a broad overview of international urban planning practice in the field of sustainable development of territories. The course will address the issues of Green city and sustainable urban landscapes design at the present stage of urban planning forecasting and design of urban areas, taking into account the concept of sustainable development. The course offers an understanding of the dynamically developing process going on in foreign practice in the field of radical transformation of the urban environment using modern landscape design tools. Consistently, there is an appeal to already implemented examples from the field of modern environment design. Turning such examples into an information base for using new design tools and techniques will require understanding the logic of the changes taking place both in relation to the shaping of landscape components and in the possibilities of their implementation through technological solutions. Therefore, the main approach chosen is the presentation of ways of functional optimization and visual harmonization of urban open spaces using new means of landscape design. The emphasis is on the search for new solutions that can enrich domestic practice with examples comparable to international practice. Classes are conducted in English.
